In the upcoming weeks, we are embarking on a captivating journey as we temporarily bid farewell to Thailand and settle in the captivating island of Lombok, Indonesia. Lombok, known as one of Indonesia's 17,000 islands, is a remarkable destination with its lush landscapes and vibrant culture.
During our stay in Lombok, we are happy to announce that we will be conducting a series of engaging environmental workshops aimed at addressing a pressing issue: the detrimental impact of single-use plastic pollution on the island's ecosystems and the lives of its inhabitants.
Lombok, despite its undeniable beauty, is not immune to the consequences of plastic waste. The island's stunning natural environments, such as its pristine beaches and captivating marine ecosystems, are suffering from the adverse effects of this pervasive pollution.
Aligned with our mission, we are dedicated to collaborating with local initiatives and organizations in order to safeguard Lombok's fragile natural environment and protect its breathtaking marine ecosystems, which are home to a diverse array of marine life.
We take great pride in the growth of MicroPlasticsJo's and our ability to provide impactful environmental and artistic workshops for children in collaboration with local partners.
Through our enviromental and artistic workshops, we aim to inspire young minds to become environmentally conscious towards what is plastic, how do we comsume single-use plastic and how we can reduce its consumption.
If you are aware of any organizations on the island that share our passion and objectives, we would be absolutely thrilled to join forces with them and collectively create a positive and lasting impact on Lombok's environment.
